a20 Salon Show & Showroom
The a20 Salon Show was an intimate, salon-style fashion show organised by Fashion Community Helsinki as part of Helsinki Design Week’s 20th anniversary in 2025.
The theme of the show and the festival was Celebration - exploring the significance of attire as a symbol of life’s milestones, and the courage, joy, and sense of community in fashion design.
The show brought together 20 emerging Nordic designers at Suomitalo, including 18 from Finland and two guest designers, Stina Randestad from Sweden and Tilde Herold Winther from Denmark. The show featured the designers’ own interpretations of festive wear; outfits that move between artistic, experimental fashion and clothing that highlights the individuality of the designer and the wearer.
Models moved through the rooms and among the audience at Suomitalo in Helsinki, creating a close and immersive experience where each piece could be experienced up close.
The a20 Showroom followed as a continuation of the show, giving visitors more time to explore the designers’ work in a slower, more intimate setting.
